Replacing missing teeth – Dentures or Dental implants

Replacing missing teeth – Dentures or Dental implants

The teeth have a major impact on the conversation, smiling and confidence levels. Missing tooth will have the deterioration of the confidence levels as the missing tooth produce some fuss during conversations in most of the cases by creating husky sounds or so on. When the medical facts are concerned the tooth loss may cause the gaps between the teeth and eventually the teeth are pulled into the gap to create disturbance in the organization of the teeth. Sometimes the gaps accumulate the bacteria causing infections.

So most of the times it is advisable to have the missing tooth replaced either in case of one or multiple teeth.

There are two ways to have the tooth replacement dental bridges and the dental implants. The dental bridges are the ones which need to have the strong support of the healthy adjacent teeth for the replacing tooth; otherwise the tooth will be ejected out or may have the crevices. The best way to have the teeth replacement is to have the dental implants either it is for one or multiple.

The dental implants will have the material which is medically accepted and will be inserted into the jaw bone and later the custom made dental restorations can be placed over the dental implant to create a tooth or teeth that looks similar to the normal existing teeth.

Dental bridges might not address the problem of bone loss but the dental implants have been used to the most of the effective ways of treatment for the bone loss.
